Hello All..!
Has anyone any suggestions for upbeat new female lead songs? We are trying to get a list together, but the more suggestions the better, so please help!!?
(As part of our list we've also got a few originally male songs that can be done by Female Lead, so if you have any of these, that we don't already do - and we could do justice, then by all means suggest these too!!)
Thank you for the help guys!

Cheers Tim!
Some of the Jackson 5 stuff, is an idea we've been thinking of, maybe a Medley of a few of there better tracks!? We'll have to have a look at keys / speed to see what fits together, to see whats possible, and to see where in the set to put it!
What do people think of "We are Family?" That was due to be one of the next one's done. Do people think its a good track..?
Thanks again, Tim!
See you all Tuesday!

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing
Lullaby of Broadway
Dancing cheek to cheek
Black Coffee

Was rummaging through a pile of old sheet music earlier on this evening, and found chord charts for the following, which might be worthy of your consideration:
1 - Fever.
2 - Somethin' Stupid.
3 - Music To Watch Girls By ( Not a female lead, I know ).
4 - It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing.
5 - Black Coffee.
If you'd like copies of any of the above, let me know. All forms of communication are acceptable - telephones, emails, carrier pigeons, parachute drops, telepathy.
And I'll leave you with the words of the great Louis Armstrong:
"All music is folk music. I ain't never heard a horse sing a song."
Hey Steve,
Thanks, that's great!
My carrier pigeon should be with you soon to pick up the stuff I requested over telepathy earlier...

Kevin,
Due to the fact that my cats ate your carrier pigeon, I have posted my answers to your telepathic questions below....
1 - No, I wasn't suggesting you look anything like Robbie Williams. Nicole says she'd be delighted to duet with you, by the way.
2 - I believe it was originally sung by Peggy Lee. The singer you were thinking of was Dusty Springfield, not Dusty Starbucks.
3 - It's a nice idea, but I'm not sure you could pull off a swing version of "I Am The One And Only" by Chesney Hawkes.
4 - Yes. You're quite right. We must go out for a beer soon.
I am sorry about the pigeon.
Steve.

Steve! You let out Kevins Secret Dream of being Chesney Hawkes, that song on his birthday was no coinsidence!! (I bought you that fake mole you asked me to get by the way, Kevin!)
:biggrinan
Chesney Hawkes, yeah I remember him..!
Now there's a talent void if ever there was one, we can thank our dear bass player Tim for requesting that particular song on my birthday... yeah thanks Tim mate! *grumble*

I'm a bit out of date here, kinda new to this forum. Strikes me that "These Boots were made for Walkin'" would be timely to include just now that Nancy Sinatra's original (kicking) number has been reprised not too successfully by Jessica Simpson for the Dukes of Hazzard movie. If you can nail that swamp-boogie backbeat and get the vocals nice and gravelly, it Rocks.
